| Toolkit on Youth Participation |
|
![]() Youth participation Bristol is a pioneer in youth participation. Under the South Bristol URBAN II programme young people have been placed at the heart of activities, having the main responsibility for deciding how and where over €10 million of European funding was spent.
The toolkit provides practical advice and recommendations on seven key issues in the organisation and planning of youth participation such as "Credibility of participation processes", "Dealing with Diversity" or "Motivation". Each issue is illustrated by "good practice" examples from the seven cities involved: Bristol, Liverpool, Hetton&Murton (Sunderland and Easington), Belfast, Evosmos (Thessaloniki), Sabadell (Barcelona) and Misterbianco (Catania). The methods of the network consisted of an evaluation of concrete participation policies by young people and peers plus a process of exchange that associated young people in a collective debate on key issues and pragmatic answers. |
