Welcome to UP2YOUTH: Youth - actor of social change

University of Leiden is a member of the steering group of the project and leading the working group on "Young parenthood".

Since the late 1980s the Department of Educationhas been engaged in childhood and youth research, especially in international perspective, as well as in research on lifelong learning. It has been involved in youth research and youth policy activities in the framework of the Council of Europe and has been a member of the EGRIS group since 1994 participating in the following projects

• Transnational research project “YOYO – Youth Policy and Participation”, funded by 5^th framework programme

• Transnational research project "FATE" – Transition Period of Young People, funded by 5^th framework programme

• "Misleading trajectories", funded under 4^th framework programme
