The Association of Regional and European Studies (AREA) is partner in working group concerned with Transitions of ethnic minority youth.
AREA is a private non-profit research institute focussing on the development of regional and European cooperation for research, implementation, and evaluation of socio-pedagogical practices. The partners have considerable experience in collaborating at European level within RTD, Leonardo, INCO-COPERNICUS and INTEGRA programmes. Recent studies include ‘Equal opportunities for men and women in local networks for employment’, and the FP 5 projects FATE and YOYO in the framework of EGRIS. In 2002 AREA has co-organised the European conference ‘Young People and Transition Policies in Europe’. AREA is also responsible for investigations on a regional (Navarra Youth Report (Informe Juventud Navarra) 2000 and 2004, workshops with teachers and parents, evaluation and monitoring local policies) and national level (co-author of the Youth Report Spain (Informe Juventud España) 2004).
