The Youth Studies and Research Department of the National Agency for Supporting Youth Initiatives (ANSIT), Bucharest, is partner in working group concerned with Transitions to work of ethnic minority youth.
The studies carried out by ANSIT after 1989 aimed, especially, at monitoring Romanian youth situation in the transition process and substantiation of youth policies. The main issues referred to economic, civic and political participation of youth, its lifestyle and characterizing values, work of youth associative structures, legislative priority regarding youth. Research experience:
  • Youth and Economic Activity – entrepreneurial initiative among youth – ongoing; Education, Culture, and Creativity in Youth’s Life – ongoing; Youth Policy and Participation.
  • Potentials of Participation and Informal Learning for the Transition of Young People to the Labour Market. A Comparison in Ten European Regions, funded under Key Action “Improving the Socio-economic Knowledge Base” - 2001/2004;
  • Improving the employment perspectives of youth in emerging and transformation countries” - regional project implemented by GTZ (German Agency of Technical Co-operation) - 2002/2004;
  • Youth Policy Review – 2001 Lifestyle and leisure among Romanian youth - 2000 National Action Plan for Youth - key consultant services to the Ministry of Youth and Sports towards developing the National Action Plan for Youth – 2001
  • Youth and civil society (Youth Studies & Research Centre, 1997/1999)
  • Youth Barometer (Youth Studies & Research Centre, 1995/1998)
  • The state of Romanian youth (Youth Studies & Research Centre, 1995/1998)
