The Youth Research
Society's primary activities are various kinds of seminars and discussion
forums, at which we try to bring researchers together with officials, workers
in the field, teachers and parents to discuss the tensions in young people's
lives.
The Finnish Youth
Research Society publishes the Finnish language journal Nuorisotutkimus
[Youth Research]. In addition to theme-related articles, this journal
contains book reviews, seminar reports and discussions relating to youth
research, as well as announcements of up-coming seminars and other events.
The magazine comes out four times per year. The journal contains English
summaries of articles, which can be found on the Nuorisotutkimus web
page.
The Finnish Youth
Research Society produces and series of
publications on youth research, which is both academic and
provocative. The publication series is made up of research reports and
contemporary position statements concerning youth, as well as doctoral
dissertations in our field. The publications in this series are primarily in
Finnish, but there are some in English and Swedish as well.
